Hello

Welcome to Design Studio 1.

Just letting you know that one of your 'clients', Richard Goodwin, is giving a talk at COFA (College of Fine Arts) this Tuesday evening. I imagine Russell has organised for Richard to give you a presentation at some point during the lectures, so at the very least this is a chance for a preview, and a chance to check out the COFA campus (you may find the library a useful resource later on).

    Hi, I'm Susan~
    I set up my blog a few days ago and just found out how to link to the course blog...

    I've attempted the work due before studio tomorrow but I'm not sure if it's ok to blog with a degree of colloquialism.

    It would be appreciated if you can give me some early feedback and suggestions~

    Susan, what you've done is fine. While you should all put some thought into how you express things in witing, you don't need to be strictly formal on your blogs. But remember that unless you have tightened up the privacy settings, your blogs are completely public...you should be proud of the work you upload here, whether it be images or text. :)

    Hi Fruzsina, I have had a look on the week one Tasks for today page on the web page it says there has to be 9 sections that have to be done. Do I disregard that and we have to complete 18 for next week?

    Nick, point 3 (on the next page) says "Draw another series of 9 sections reversing above and below". You should complete 18, ideally before you even attempt the SketchUp part.

    Hi Fruzsi
    Further to the drawings I showed you in class and the ones we discussed as the images for sketchup I have drawn various others. In class I repeated the image for each word and now I have used different ones for each so that I have various combinations of upper level and lowel level images. Some are better than the ones I had originally done so is it ok to decide myself which ones I use for sketchup or is it better to post them on my blog so you can make suggestions?

    I put up a few photos of some sections I did at home, for a couple I prefer either the above or below just did not want to crop them too much. Would it be possible to tell me what you think I should go ahead with for sketchup?
